  1. How did you come up with New To Chennai, what inspired you to start this page?

When I first arrived in Chennai, I was intimidated by the change, but I decided to embrace the opportunity to explore the city. I put together a guide for myself, and that guide became the seed of an idea that would grow into something much bigger. I found my love for Chennai and my desire to help others quickly became evident as I started sharing my experiences and knowledge of the city on my social media handle – NewToChennai. People started recognizing me as a trusted source of information and advice, and my popularity grew as more and more people turned to me for guidance.

  1. Have you ever had any setbacks and if so, how’d you overcome them during your influencer journey?

I’ve always had a positive influence on the neighborhood and assisted small brands and companies in expanding their customer base. I overcame the difficulties of moving to a new location with perseverance and was able to create a prosperous and satisfying life for myself. I’m appreciative of my 220K+ strong Instagram family for always encouraging my endeavors in content creation. By bringing together an intriguing community of explorers, travelers, locals, and those who have recently moved in, I aim to further develop my content journey.

  1. What is NTC all about?

In the past few years, NTC has become a trusted page not only for the verifiable information it provides consumers, but also because it has a personal connection to the products being highlighted through it. It is the perfect venue for new and small businesses trying to grow in Chennai. Today, ‘New To Chennai’ is one of the first social media sites in Chennai to act as a mini-lifestyle and culture guide for the Chennaites, offering zone-by-zone directories, historical information, weekly events, newly launched restaurants, cafes, and staycations. People are looking at New to Chennai as a smaller version of Google Maps to plan their day and weekend itineraries in the city, and we are thrilled to give them access to all the hottest information.

New to Chennai undoubtedly has coverage of anything fresh and trending. While the platform has always placed a high priority on compiling a comprehensive list of lifestyle events taking place in and around Chennai, it recently introduced a new concept called City Guide that keeps all the local area-specific information more clear and up-to-date, making it one of the most reliable and happening go-to guides for all the seeking city explorers.   1. What creates a space for New To Chennai in this blooming community of Travel & Lifestyle content creators?

NTC is the first-of-its-kind one-stop destination for everything lifestyle in and around Chennai. It is the first social media platform to enter this market, one that is not limited to a single genre but rather draws on the variety of lifestyles the city has to offer. The further geographic segmentation of Chennai and the description of the current trends, spaces, events, cultural activities, and historical significance of the mentioned locations of Chennai are some of the most recent additions to New to Chennai. This is one of the first times a social media platform has delved this deeply to compile an exploration itinerary that acts as a single, reliable source of information, not only for the locals but for anybody interested in traveling.

  1. What are your future plans with NTC?

In the upcoming year, I intend to extend the exploration journeys of New to Chennai. New to Chennai is poised to provide a variety of content stories, engagements, and experiences for the Chennaites in 2023 as a pioneering social media platform that will curate engaging and unique content on Chennai’s social environment.
