There is no denying that the evolution of the human species was because of equal contributions from men and women individually. Women have always played a key role in helping in the changing world scenario; however, their function, most often than not, has always been as behind the screen as a, support system.

However, a woman’s excellence, most often than not, never left the four walls. In fact, women were hardly ever a part of any significant scenarios during the first, second, or third industrial global industrial revolution. Hence the growing gender discrepancy in the working environment of the 21st century. Research has shown that women are often much more organized, skilled, and intelligent than men in many leadership scenarios. Yet, only 7.5 percent of the Fortune 500 workforce includes women as CEO.

The role of women in the booming digital industry

The digital transition has opened an expansive new gate for women entrepreneurs worldwide with more unique opportunities and scopes to grow and thrive as individuals. With over 60 percent digitization by this year’s end, the world is moving towards a new era. While the world is still under the realms of traditional industrial growth, the dependency on the ‘internet’ has opened a new channel for women to showcase their potential.

  • Remote Multitasking

Tools like Team, Zoom, etc., have made it very easy and flexible for women to work remotely from anywhere in the world without requiring a strict and time-bound presence physically at any workspace. This has given an enormous scope to many women to return to work and yet manage most of their personal and professional situations easily.

The result – More creativity and choices with women-centric presentations and ideologies being implemented. The dynamics and role reversal are also visible.

  • Financial alterations

Fundraising is not an easy task as it requires endless hours of pitching, investor hunting, and much more. With virtual communications becoming a new norm, it is easier to reach broader and longer distances for seeking financial assistance. Skype, hangout, etc., have made it feasible to connect with investors beyond borders and seek help within days of communications.

  • Availability of digital tools

The availability of newer and more sophisticated digital tools has opened numerous more unique scopes for women to try. Education, finance, trading, and many aspects of informative science are now easier and more flexible to handle, thanks to the right tools and accessories. From modular capsules to flexibility of timing and program management, there is a look that is now easier to manage, thanks to the right digital tool.

  • Ease of promotion

Today promotion is no more reliant on print media or televisions. Social media has become a solid and integral necessity for every promotion. However, instead of seeking third-party assistance, these platforms allow the freedom of self-publicity through any desired channel. Self-promotion is one of the most cost-effective and genuine methods to connect with organic consumers. Women can utilize this aspect to its full potential to help drive their sales and publicity.

  • Innovative entrepreneurship

Women are one of the most significant untapped entrepreneurial scopes worldwide today. With the incorporation of women in the digital business sector, innovation is bound to take a far more neutral stance than before. Newer approaches delving into women-related scenarios will be a fundamental change that many will be looking forward to.

A future of entrepreneurship with gender neutrality

Men went ahead to earn livelihood and manage the world outside while women stayed back and managed the home. For generations, their excellent managerial skills and keen accounting knowledge have been the critical reasons for families’ smooth sailing personal lives and the overall growth of the family’s children. Today the world is changing, and women are leading the race by standing on the mantel to show rather than the guide from the sideline. With more innovative startups being introduced that are trying to minimize the gender discrepancy, hopes for a strong entrepreneurial future for women seems like to be very near. Mystyle Communications based out of Bengaluru, India is one such digital workspace which is setting up new milestones with its unique women-centric workspace. From missed opportunities to grabbing the chance to shine, this is the future character trait of women in the world of business.

“Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose. I think that the power is the principle. So let’s get powerful by getting our power back.” – ANJU K

Sharing stories of victories and defeats with others is important to heal. The healing that happens when you’re heard and validated is remarkable.

Healing 2 Peace is the journey of different brave souls from suffering to surviving their pain. It is not just mine or my kids journey, anyone can join us. It doesn’t matter what they survived, it only matters that they did.

One time I was listening to Oprah Winfrey, she said –

” If they don’t offer you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair with you next time.”

I was deeply touched by this line and I created my own platform. This is not just mine, who ever was never heard or validated, I am here for you, to hear you, to support you.

Our mission is to promote the self-reliance and empowerment. We educate and empower others about the abuse we suffered, how we survived and what resources we found helpful for us to over come our suffering.

Our aim is to provide a platform for victims/survivors, to tell them about available resources and other coping skills. We will tailor this platform to meet the special needs of other brave souls who are overcoming hardship.

After devastating events, getting back to normal is hard. For some of us, financial insecurity becomes a major obstacle. Yes, there are many resources available to help us but when we are in the healing process, it is overwhelming to ask for help. It feels like we are asking for too much. So when we are in therapy, using our pain, creativity and skills, we create awesome and amazing things.

Join us, maybe you will also find your passion.

It is a wrenching feeling going from being self- sufficient to need money (from others) for every little thing.

Come and join me in our healing journey…

” I’m thankful for my struggles because without them, I wouldn’t know my strengths.”

I am Anju K
A Blogger, an Interior Stylist and Architect by profession, but I also did my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application and Psychology. When I was in India, I created my own Home Décor brand with an e-commerce business. Also I worked as a blogger with my niche as interior design, fashion, lifestyle and parenting. So that’s another feather in my small crown.
I came to the United States in 2019 with my husband and my 2 kids. My husband was abusive since the first day of our relationship, before and after we married. We were together for 13 years, out of which 11 years of our marriage involved every kind of abuse (verbal, emotional, physical, sexual, financial and psychological). Trauma not only comes in memories, it can come back in physical symptoms too. As a result of violence and abuse I suffered, I have to see so many doctors, therapists and specialists every other day. It looks like I’m physically out of it but somewhere I’m still stuck there.
I am not just fighting for my self respect and dignity. I am fighting against inhumanity, injustice and crime. I started my journey with just $58 , my two kids and my never to give up attitude. Within 2 months, I reached almost 35K people around the world and helped 400-450 people. If you are going through any crisis or bad conditions, let me tell you, you are not alone. Help is available, only you have to reach out, cry out till you get help. If you don’t know from where to start, you can reach to me. I will try my best. If I can help you, it makes me feel that I helped myself.
I started my project/platform but I call it my third baby, HEALING 2 PEACE to support myself and other survivors like me. It’s a brand from the survivors.
You can connect with me through @anju29peace, @healing2peace on Instagram
@Anju29peace on Twitter
With this website and my blogs, I’ll tell you how I survived my pain and suffering along with my kids handling my abuser and my business. Maybe my words reach someone who can relate and find some help. I am aware I can’t save the world but at least I can try to make some difference. This website is an initiative to help me and others in healing. I am sharing my experiences and journey as a Victim/Survivor but I prefer calling myself a normal woman just like you. Maybe I’ll be able to save just ONE life besides my own.
Also if you have any skills and need some financial independence, please contact me. I am looking for people who can join me. It could be anything. Let’s heal and succeed together.

In our society (particularly during a public health emergency of large scale), women often feel the need to take on extra caregiving responsibilities. They often put our loves ones first – children, spouses, parents, friends, even pets. So, it may feel strange (and even selfish) for a woman to shift the balance from caring for everyone else, to prioritizing self-care. That is why it is time for women to view self-care differently and make proactive efforts towards it, however uncomfortable it might feel initially. Like Dale Carnegie says, ‘Happiness doesn’t depend on external conditions, it depends on inner conditions.’

Let’s first try and understand what is self-care exactly? It’s the thoughtful practice of protecting and improving your physical and mental health with balanced lifestyle as the lever. In these stressful and uncertain times, self-care is ever so critical. Self-care includes eating well, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, maintaining a robust social network, tending to our spiritual needs, looking after our financial security, and so much more; think of it as the art of loving oneself. Ahead are a few ways to add self-care to your everyday life.

EXERCISE & FITNESS – Regular physical activity is critical for good physical and mental health. It helps improve your overall health and fitness, maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk for many chronic diseases, while promoting good mental health. While almost every woman knows that exercise is beneficial, they have very little time for it as they remain busy with their families and careers. Going to the gym, going for a walk, working out with friends, or even doing Yoga in an already packed schedule may sound impossible. Plus, finding time for these activities becomes a constraint and our daily chores, and work pressures keep mounting. Most women at this juncture choose to prioritize their household and workplace responsibilities, over making time for exercise & fitness. Women should work towards making exercise a part of their daily routine, much like brushing your teeth or having a bath.

DISCIPLINE – Some people thrive on routine and discipline while others shun it. There is no denying that self-care takes planning and dedication. A bubble bath once or a yoga session once a month will not have any long-term impact. To achieve some level of fitness and happiness, you have to install a bit of routine and discipline into your life. Many women crave routine (even if subconsciously) because routines allow you to create structure and predictability in your life. They allow you to feel safe, making us feel comfortable and happy.

SPEND 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY IN SELF-CARE ACTIVITIES – When people are expected to work long hours and feel the constant need to be productive, it takes away opportunities for self-care. But by taking some time out to engage in self-care, you may relieve the pressures of everyday life and reset yourself to a healthy point where productivity is once again maximized. Remember that self-care is all about you. What works for one person may not work for another, but that’s the beauty of a self-care routine. Even if you only have 5-minute increments spread throughout the day to engage in self-care, that is better than nothing. Some popular forms of self-care include physical exercises, meditation, Yoga, reading, and pursuing a hobby.

PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE – The aim of preventive healthcare in women is to promote health and prevent diseases. It involves scheduling regular health check-ups, routine Pap smears and Mammograms, taking preventative care against things like HPV, Ovarian Cancer and Breast Cancer, and overall doing what is in your body’s best interest. The first and most crucial step to preventing ordinary women’s health issues is being educated about what causes these problems and what you can do to avoid them. Therefore, speak to your General Physician and OB/GYN about any concerns you may have, what health problems you should watch out for, possible health issues in your family, and any other questions you may have. For instance, one of the most common and most serious health problems in women is Breast Cancer. That is why every woman over the age of 40yrs should be undergoing routine Mammogram screenings to check for the disease so preventative steps can be taken before it is too late.

In conclusion, remember that everything you do today—the food you eat, the exercise you choose, your sleep, stress, and the self-care routine that you practice, will affect your health and wellness in the long run. Start today, because empowering yourself has to begin with you.

Whether it is a country or an individual, everyone needs a systematic budget. But, why does a country need an Annual Budget, and why is it so important? What can we expect from the Annual Budget 2022? What are the priorities of the Annual Budget 2022?

Let us get the answers to these questions with some business eminent personalities and experts who will share their expertise and knowledge. We will get to know how can a budget impact the economy. These experts will share their insight on what kind of budget we can expect, what government should take care of, how the budget can impact a business, individual, student, working-class and everyone. They will be discussing on what are the key focuses of this year’s budget, how will it help the economy which is suffering from the pandemic and, how will the budget strengthen the economy.

With regards to ESOP tax deferment for startups, in the last decade or so, the Indian Startup ecosystem has become a key force that will lead India’s future growth. Currently, tax on such ESOP gets levied at the time of exercise at the fair value of ESOPs. This will save the employee from the tax burden on the notional amount and the tax payout will occur only on the actual realization of cash against such securities.

For clarity on Crypto transactions and tax, there has been a significant surge in crypto investors within India and also new players are emerging within the industry to cater to investors’ needs. Also framing taxation laws around it would clear the ambiguity at the investor’s end and thus avoid any potential conflicts with the taxation authorities. If at all the ban is announced on the existing set of cryptocurrencies as an asset class, what will be the implication of it for the existing set of investors? With the relief for individual and salaried taxpayers, It has been a long time since the current threshold limit of income was set on which there is no tax. For a certain corporation, the current maximum tax rate is 25% and thus it will be the right time to revisit the 30% maximum tax rate of individuals.

During the challenging times of COVID-19, children have been forced to grow up at a pace faster than their previous generations. Owing to constant unpredictable circumstances such as the adoption of, and adaptation to, digital media, ambiguity around educational institutions opening and shutting down, children have undergone mental turmoil. Further, there exists a gulf between the number of children pursuing education in India and the resources available to them. Our aim must be to reduce this gap from widening – through alternative and immersive education models such as social-emotional learning – and offer equal opportunities to each child to enable society to realize its full potential.

Anmol Chawla, Director- VRAKSH Management Private Limited.

The pandemic has inspired many women to step outside of their comfort zones and gather the strength to hold their heads independently high in this society. Earlier, Small firms were neglected in the budgets. The government should take care of small and home-based businesses, where women not only confront societal restrictions but also lack financial security and savings. As 91% of working women does not have the higher education and skills for job markets, they are stuck in informal sector.

According to the indiatogether.org, the total women graduate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in India is nearly 43%. The government could establish some courses and awareness programmes for women to encourage their active participation in technological advancement. This will encourage women empowerment and also contribute to the literacy rate of women. As of 2021, according to the National Statistical Office, female literacy rate is 70.30% only. And not all 70.30% have access to an advanced education system.

Budget 2022 should provide incentives and subsidies to the working women, to motivate them and contribute to the recovery of India’s growth. Tax concessions will allow them to save and invest more in their business as banks consider women less capable of repaying loans than men, discouraging them from being self-sufficient. Women should have more allocations in the budget 2022, as their success and growth will eventually lead to the country’s development.

Varun Duggirala, Content Creator, Podcaster, Entrepreneur and Author of Everything is Out Of Syllabus

We’ve seen over the last two years that how we create, transact and consume is now digital first and with this budget I’m hopeful that there is further simplification of process and boosters for growth added to the digital economy especially to enable us to build digital first businesses. I also feel there needs to be a start to recognizing the needs of the influencer/ creator economy and simplify the process of how individuals and companies in this space can manage the business end of their work. It’s something that will help build an entirely new form of growth.

Malini Agarwal, Founder & Creative Director MissMalini Entertainment, Girl Tribe & Co-Founder of Good Creator Co

As always, it is my hope to see this year’s budget provide support to areas having a direct impact on women’s health, safety and empowerment. As we already know, COVID has had a disproportionate consequence on women, whether in terms of historic declines in labor force participation or reduced access to critical healthcare resources. I hope Budget 2022 takes steps to reverse these declines, with support for women’s healthcare, education, job skilling, and family-friendly tax policies that ensure a woman never has to choose between her health, career or family. Particularly close to my heart would be initiatives to ensure that women are safe and empowered in the digital world—so that they may fully participate in the new Creator economy without rampant sexual harassment and intimidation that currently inhibits their full potential.

Shilpa Gandhi, ISC Section Head and Coordinator, Jasudben ML School

People have displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability in these uncertain times. It is urgent now to focus on school education. The Central Government along with stakeholders of the Education Sector must work to restore a sense of normalcy and build resilience into this sector. Normalcy will come once efforts are directed towards returning students to the classrooms. Technology alone cannot bridge the gap. The Central Government should appoint more teachers, train them to create classrooms with fewer students like ‘Study Bubbles’ to restore and sustain live interactions in a safe environment.

Resilience needs an appropriate support system. Children’s education has been compromised due to financial uncertainty and constraints. Government should create avenues for educational financing to support parents and schools. Insurance designed to mitigate risks that disrupt a child’s education should be provided. This will ensure continuity and improve accountability of the Education Sector.

 Gopal Upadhayay, Co-founder of Teabox

The Union Budget will be presented against the backdrop of the country’s third coronavirus wave—vastly significant for a prime agricultural sector like Tea, one of the largest employment-generating sectors in India. Last year, the government had emphasized the health and well-being of the workforce, especially women and children working in the estates, alongside focusing on reinvigorating human capital. We expect the reinforcement of these policies in the sector with a clear roadmap on infrastructure development—particularly in terms of roadways, developing integrated cold chains and an integrated strategy to maximize productivity. Additionally, doubling farmers’ income will also help boost the tea industry.

Faster refund of GST input to start-ups and taxation process simplification for e-commerce companies will encourage investments in the sector. Moreover, specific measures to improve the ease of doing business in the country will help attract more FDI and stimulate production and employment generation. Focus on simplifying rules for B2C exports from India and relooking at the guidelines for FDI in the sector will also attract potential investors to this industry.

Sumit Joshi, Managing Director and CEO, Signify South Asia.

The upcoming budget should prioritize public spending on intelligent infrastructure such as connected LED streetlighting in both cities and villages as these lights are more energy efficient and also help reduce road accidents. Moreover, these intelligent lights can also be powered by solar panels, enabling our villages to become even smarter. To help the country reach its goal of becoming carbon neutral by the year 2070, the government should support companies that offer sustainable technologies such as LED lighting and 3D printed luminaires, by providing them special tax benefits.

We also recommend that the government should allocate more funds to upgrade sports facilities to encourage our youth to play professional sports. There should also be enhanced spending on beautification of our heritage monuments and tourist attractions, as it will help promote the growth of tourism in our country, providing much needed impetus to this sector

Vijay Kumar Mikkilineni, Head of Marketing, TCL India

Reduction on import tariff is something we are expecting, this will help us compete with countries like China, Mexico, Thailand and more. In the last two years, the PLI schemes have provided momentum to domestic and international investments, but so the investment from the Government side for infrastructure building will boost the ‘Make in India’ movement. We have to integrate India into the global supply chain scenario, to achieve that tariff should be equal or less than competitive markets.

Rimo Bose, PR and Branding Manager, TCL India

We are expecting that the import tariff will be reduced, so that our country can match up with the other competing countries like China, Mexico, Thailand and more. Additionally, we have witnessed much of compliance reforms in the last two years, the PLI schemes have indeed helped in domestic and international investments, but we have to keep in mind that setting up manufacturing units might take several years, so the investment from the Government side will boost the ‘Make in India’ movement.
